To provide children with laptops for learning and personal development, we launched the charity project
"Laptops for Ukrainian Children"
MISSION OF PROJECT
reduce the digital divide so that every child has equal opportunities and rights, regardless of their social status and financial situation.
OUR PURPOSE
to provide 100,000 laptops for children who have limited financial resources or are in difficult life circumstances for their full development and quality education.
educational institutions in Ukraine have been damaged by bombings and shelling
educational institutions of Ukrainehave been completely destroyed
Ukrainian children have not attended a single day of formal schooling
children study in a hybrid format: partly online, partly face-to-face
In total, there are 3.93 mln school age children in Ukraine.
Today only 1 out of 4 students in Ukraine has a personal laptop for studying.
3,93 mln schoolchildren in Ukraine
60% don't have devices to attend online classes
40% orphans do not have access to computers and the Internet
Because of the war, and a lot of children being displaced, a lot of them have to study online.
In distance learning, a laptop is a basic need.
Ukrainian children need laptops for quality education.
Ministry of Education of Ukraine wants to collect 217.000 laptops for Ukrainian children. RUSH Foundation aims to help the ministry collect 100.000 laptops out of this number.
THE PROCESS
Laptops, collected under the “School, we are together!” campaign will be distributed to the following regions [oblasts] of Ukraine please see the map. Laptops will also be distributed to other communities that do not have face-to-face education due to the absence of bomb shelters.
Today Ukrainian children, as never before, need our unity and our help.
For the past three years, first because of the [COVID] pandemic and now because of the full-scale war, Ukrainian children have been studying online. This fact has reflected on the quality of their knowledge and their soft skills. The longer [the war lasts], the more difficult are the consequences for children, educators, and for the whole Ukraine.
We cannot let the enemy deprive our children of the right to have quality education.
The foremost needs of Ukrainian children are: bomb shelters, school buses, school textbooks, and laptops [for educational purposes].
The Ministry of Education of Ukraine launches the "School, we are together" campaign to address the needs of Ukrainian children, mentioned above. We use all available resources from the side of the Ukrainian state. But Ukrainian children still need your help.
